Redang Trip 19.03.09- 22.03.09 Part 1

Long awaited Redang vacation came finally. After more than 6 months securing an RM128 return ticket of MAS, we finally step(i mean, fly) to Redang hooray. Nowadays, holiday does not come after you can ensure you will be release from work on that few days. The holiday come right after you type in your 16 digits credit card, together with your that 3 evil number on the back of credit card(CRV la!) to purchase some kickass offer from airlines. Tell me it is not kickass when you get to buy MAS flight ticket at Rm128(return sumore wey!)

The odd of this trip is that three of us decided to screw the 'buffer' day to extend our stay in Redang. And I tell you it worth every seconds of it babeh~! The next trip, you gotta make sure you take an extension pheww....('buffer' day means the day you use to rest at home, normally on sunday before you resume to work on monday. And screwing 'buffer' day means you fly back only to have a night sleep and voila you need to go to work the next very day )

The flight itself took 55 minutes, which was surprisingly short. It felt like it started to land right after the boarding of the flight. I wondered the cabin crew have enough time to collect all the refreshment cups before the plane started to land lol.

Photobucket
Malaysian Airlines light snacks. I checked the price of Zip Nutty Crunch at Sultan Mahmud Airport's, it was RM3.20. Not bad, not bad. The peanuts packaging is a little misleading, because the real stuff was those local nuts with some curry flour covering.

Once arrival, we were greeted by some agency holding a cardboard with their resort name on it. We spotted "Laguna Resort" and we were told to find our car outside the airport. 2288, was our car plate number. I still prefer someone holding the board of "Miss Esther"(just like the one in Bali), speak about recognition here lol. We reached jetty to found out we need to wait for 11.30am ferry, and that was 1.5 hours away. That was fine for me, because I took that time to explore a bit of Kuala Terengganu. Not exactly explore la, just that I walked damn far from the jetty to buy a bottle of mineral water to come to a mini morning market(which was actually a big pasar, it is another story btw) and and while I still failed to locate a decent bottle of mineral water, I settled for a cup of fresh sugar cane drink which was surprisingly good and refreshing :)

11.30am came pretty fast and we flocked the jetty gate impatiently to be told "Let the Kerabat Diraja go in first" and I was like "Allright, whatever " And now when I think back, I am like wtf, is this what we call "hak equaliti", I didn't pay for the trip is it?!? Haiya, Kerabat Diraja no need to squeeze ferry with us la, the resort should had send a yatch for them la wey. Sharing ferry ride with rakyat biasa not menpersiasuikan meh? Whatever(bitchy tone a bit ;) )

The ferry transfer took freaking two long hours. The scenery was good all along the ride, but the air ventilation wasn't. At some moment, I felt like throwing out, not because of the bumpy ride, but because of the sucky air ventilation or maybe lousy aircond. But anyway, we were quite grateful because the resort has their own jetty that also means we do not need to wet our feet at all. The first glance of the jetty, I somehow felt a little disappointed because the jetty was polluted, and we saw no sandy beach, no fishes swimming around. So potong steam like feeling la, until the tour guide announced "The paradise is not here, your paradise is inside'. Relieved a little, with some weird growling sound from every stomach there, we waited

Photobucket
for a briefing wtf. OMGWTFBBQ. A briefing when I was still sea sick, a damn bla bla bla when my stomach was growing '"Krouk krouukkk kroukk" and I tell you show me my lunch will be the happiest thing that can happen(at that time). But no! Another round of waiting of check in procedure with some funny colour asam boi welcome drink had to torture me :(

And finally we get our beloved meal voucher and off we marched to the dining area to hunt for the first meal at Redang. Nothing too fancy about the food eventhough the buffet selection was quite wide. Went to collect our room keys and luggages, off we rushed to locate our room and to change into swimming outfit because snorkelling took place at 3pm while we had just arrive at dining hall at 2pm. Walao weh this cannot be lo.

Photobucket
These two fellas had a nap by the beach after the snorkelling session which I ate my kacang garuda, tim tam and cuttle fish snacks

Photobucket
Night came, we went to this overrated place and I took a lousy I am sure my hand shakes photo

And we went to Redang Beach cafe and listened to some local chinese band pop songs while downing some not cold enough Kampai at RM13. It was fun despite the Kampai. Everyone went to sleep on their bed(Oh did i tell that we were giving connecting room, so all problems on room dividing were solved), tell me it was not a waste because no one sleep on the King size bed on the guy room. Reason 1: Both guys do not want to sleep together on one bed. Reason 2: The bed not suitable for light sleeper, especially of low endurance of snore LOL
I don't know what is the reason, I can't sleep well, despite I was really tired of the day activity. I woke up having a mild headache(coz i slept near to TV? the radiation?), even before my alarm started to ring at 6.30am. Good maybe, because I was on time for sunrise :)

Photobucket
First sunrise by the beach

Photobucket
I found the love coral :) but Huijiun said it is bleeding love -.-

Photobucket
Sunrise companion, I actually dragged him(literally) out of bed so that he can protect me from getting kidnapped. Lame I know. Okla, he was the one suggested watching sunrise actually. So, we both was stuck outside because we did not bother to bring the keys out. Each room only has a key, which is used to turn on the electricity. No good, no good. That also implies that the whole heck of room need to go in and out of room together-gether. Else, no light, no air-cond, no tv!

Photobucket
Favaurite breakfast, don't assume I am a small eater yet. This is just 20%of my servings. I actually had, 2 glasses of orange, a plate of above, 2 mini paos, 2 bowls of cereals and I felt that were not even enough hahaha. Lots of variety, I actually missed out local delicacies such as Nasi Lemak, Rendang, Porridge, Mee Goreng, Mihun GOreng, Nasi Goreng, Ayam Masak merah and much more. I guess I am western breakfsat fetish huh?!

Photobucket
The view of dining hall from my seat

Photobucket
Yeehaa, this is my favourite spot despite it was a little too hot at 8am. Absorption of Vitamin E weeeee.......

Photobucket
Saw lots of this cute creature running around the resort

Photobucket
BBq dinner time, had a lots of satay and keropok lekor and they BBQ chicken wings beat Yuen's

Photobucket
The baked potatoes are default, available at every meal :(

There go the second night. The third day I started early because I ran from the room before everyone got ready. Together with HuiJiun, I took my trusty but lousy(to campare with hers) camera to take some scenery photo. Am not sure how, we ended at this peaceful Redang Reef resort and lepak-ed there for a good time.

What I did in Redang

Another beach trip.

Redang Island, Kuala Terengganu.

I laughed, I ate, I swam and I saw lots of fishes.

I woke up for sunrise, I jumped numerous time, I chilled in the jacuzzi pool.

I gazed at the sky full of stars, I think I saw a meteor, and I LOL-ed at the most ridiculous riddles.

I had FUN!

More photos soon :)

What she said?

Coming to spending money, yours truly am proud that she has two faces which "super kiam siap" and also "big spender". Contradict huh? For me, Seafood Tempura for RM5.50 is super expansive while a book of The Secret at RM79.99 is acceptable, or a set of facial items at RM500 is reasonable too. I don't justify the price by category of food, make up, clothes, books or whatsever. I judge it to my own preference. LOL. And this is too hard to explain.

"Aiya, what Seafood Tempura why so expansive one? RM5.50 for one pack of something tasted like keropok. Aii, not very nice also lo. Yor, fried stuff also so expansive meh, and you took it before you don't think it is pricey meh? I don't think they have the real fish inside lo. Only have artificial flavouring la. The price is too high lo, like this also so many people buy aa?"

After a pause. My sis said

"I think hoh paktoh with you sure very sien one. This expensive, that also expansive, very unhappy to dating this way lo"

And I went -.- (whatever la, since she is paying that RM5.50)

Nah, this bag of keropok like Seafood Tempura, to justify that I am a super cheapskate date at RM5.50

"Nice meh?! So expansive -.- "

Esther makan at Lala Chong

I think Blui and I memang got the guts. We were really dareful (in term of adventuring KL food la), we actually decided to go search this famous Lala Chong at Subang Airport Terminal. We both were not local you know, just based on google and some courage, and maybe some gastro-insticnt to hunt at a place that is 0% new to us. Kudos to we two LOL. Anyway, long story short in the end we ended with Ah Too and her tiger gf(LOL hard at this!) joining us for that dinner. And Ah Too actually knew the way to Lala Chong Hooray :))

Xiong Tong Lala, BEST! RM15 only

Koong Poh Har Gou (Mantis prawn?)

Photobucket
Fried Sotong, two thumbs up

Photobucket
Yim Kuk Hai (Baked crabs) The healthier way of cooking because it was baked with salt and chili padi, proved that their crabs were fresh, very fresh. Might be a little tasteless for some, but I like it this way.

Photobucket
Sapu clean clean, burppssss

Photobucket

Photobucket
Good food + good jokes

The bill came with less than RM120, pretty reasonable I can say. On the other note, eventhough this place looks very chinese style, there was some Malay patrons too, so I guess it is porkless(apala, seafood takde PORK!) and most probably it is halal(maybe a call to Lala Chong can verify this yea)

Driving might be a little tiring, but nothing beats the good food and also accompanies. As usual, there was a follow up sing k session. Once in a month outing, more to come please :))

Random personalities test

I took a test HERE

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
(LOL, the straight forward part is not accurate. Remember? Scorpio is mysterios, so straight forward the last thing to be :) Efficient problem solver, yeah i like this, am honestly I REALLY think I score in problem solving *pats self*)

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.
(First sentence is 101% very true. I always found myself interested in "xue zhang" type of guy, means intelligent+ serious person). But i wonder how this make an attractive me :?)

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.
(Not sure though)

The seriousness of your love:

Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.
(Humm, sensible tactics way, endlessly flipping hair?!!? I doubt I did any tactic, being a conservative, I am not too believing in girl chasing guy things. Attractive straightforwardness, this is too wrong about me, or is this a scope i yet to discover)

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
(Again, first sentence is true. Second one maybe ;) )

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
(Betul betul)

How do you view success:

Success in your career is not the most important thing in life. You are content with what you have and think that being with someone you love is more than spending all of your precious time just working.
(Dui dui)

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you
are, not what you wear.

(No comment, because I don't like this :p)

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.
(LOL, like this!)

Colmar Colmar

I went to Colmar, French!
Hahaha Colmar of Bukit Tinggi. My first impression on Colmar was "Apala, not cold at all!" I am not kidding, eventhough that place is like 2600ft above sea level, the temperature was like around 28 - 30 degree celsius *SWEAT* No wind, no mist, no fog, but only bright sun shine. Butthen the air is confirm fresher la :)

To be frank, Colmar is sort of boring, except you are a photographer and you love those colorful building. If you are into excitement, I sugggest you go Genting better lo. But if you are from busy city, Colmar is really a good place to relax.

RM10 per person, and RM3 for rabbit park, reasonable price of entrance but but but a can of Coke from the vending machine was freaking RM4.50, harlowww, wake up please RM4.50 I can buy a box of Chap Fan eat to tahan till dinner ok! RM4.50, siow meh~ And Drumstick Ice Cream was RM5.00. Slit my throat better!

Photobucket
The entrance

Photobucket
Now you can see how bright was the sun *sweat*

Photobucket
Cutey french building

Photobucket
All of Colmar, i am not kidding

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
This is pagar? or toilet??

Photobucket
Salem tree HAHAHA *syok sendiri*

Photobucket

Pose, pose kau kau!

So, in total i spent like 3 hours in Bukit Tinggi, including a visit to Rabbit Park. Rabbit Park doesn't worth any comment because I really kelian all those lifeless rabbit hurhur~
Went to Bentong, and had some local Ice Kacang Special with cocktail fruit and ice cream. So nice ok~ Tapau some nasi lemak and drive another 10km to Chamang Waterfall. This worth to be mentioned because the waterfall was so cool (pun!) LOL. The waterfall actaully made as the highlight of this trip really. I guess I am more to thrill experience.

Photobucket
Jambatan Gantung, damn it, I so mad at the malay guys(Mat rempit or watever) because they keep jumping left and right at our back and their intention was to kacau two (i dunno gorgeous or not) Malay girls in front of us. I felt want to slap them on the face, just because they are idiotly loser to get attention. F*CK off
But anyway, that not going to spoil my mood, because the waterfall was really cool. I just can't wait to take a dip into it.

Photobucket
Cool right~~

Photobucket

An inside joke, what will you do when you were tempted to dip inside the cool water of waterfall, but at the same time you were having some serious bowel movement? LOL LOL how to tahan the urge, especially people keep luring you to jump in? Tell me ROFL
